About PYC

A working club, kept up by its members.

The Pennsylvania Yacht Club has been on the Delaware River for over eighty years. We're a family club — clubhouse with decks, boat docks, a bar, and a playground — small, member-run, and built on the kind of weekend work hours that keep a marina honest. No starched collars, no membership board theatre. Just the river, the boats, and the people who love both.

We also rent the hall — for birthdays, graduations, retirements, baby showers, and gender reveals — so the same dock that hosts our spring launch hosts your kid's communion party two Saturdays later. That's the point.

The marina.

A small, well-kept boatyard with the basics that matter. Built for families who actually use their boats.

  • Dock space for boats and jet-skis under 19 feet
  • Mooring field for larger vessels in the river
  • Member-only tender for loading & unloading
  • Fenced dry-storage yard with cranes, lifts, tractors
  • Winter storage available to members
  • Spring & fall work hours — every member pitches in

We sail with good company.

Two organizations PYC is proud to be part of — a league that's been around longer than we have, and a Sea Scout ship that's training the next generation of mariners right out of our own boatyard.

Inquire about membership

We don't post dues online — they vary by membership category and slip type. Drop us your details and a member will follow up with everything.

We follow up by phone, usually within a few days. Or call the club directly at (267) 249-8307.

Asked & answered.

Can I rent the venue for a wedding?
No — PYC is not available for weddings. We host birthdays, graduations, retirements, baby showers, gender reveals, and similar milestone parties.
How much does it cost to rent the hall?
House rental is $750 for 4 hours (capacity 75). Add the pavilion for $250 more (capacity 125, includes pavilion bartender). A $200 cleanup escrow is required at booking — it's refundable, or applied to your bar tab. Full payment is due within 90 days of the event.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
No outside alcohol — all alcohol must be purchased from PYC. A house bartender is included with the hall rental, and a pavilion bartender comes with the pavilion add-on. This keeps the bar legal and the night calm.
What's included with the rental?
The clubhouse main floor, kitchen (oven + stove), deck, and the dock (members only) — plus our bartender(s). Tables: eleven 60" rounds and eighteen 30" × 96" rectangles. You bring catering, decor, and music.
Are there dates you don't rent?
Yes — the hall is unavailable on the first Friday of each month (our membership meetings), and the pavilion is unavailable on Sundays in June, July, and August.
Is the facility wheelchair / handicap accessible?
We want to be upfront: no, we are not handicap accessible. If accessibility is essential for your event, please choose a venue equipped for it.
What about decor — confetti, fireworks, sparklers?
No glitter, confetti, or similar celebratory debris. No fireworks of any type. Most other decor is fine — just nothing that risks the boats or the water.
Who can use the marina?
The marina is for members and their guests. Dock space accommodates boats and jet-skis under 19 feet; larger vessels use our mooring field with our member-only tender for loading and unloading. Spring and fall work hours are how we keep the place up — every member pitches in.
How do I become a member?
Fill out the inquiry form above (jump there), or call (267) 249-8307. A member follows up — usually within a few days — and we go from there.
